How Erection Occurs
Erection is the term used to describe an increase in the volume of the penis and its acquisition of mechanical hardness in order to perform sexual intercourse. There are two mechanisms which work to produce an erection. One is the receptor which is located in the skin of the penis and when stimulated, an erection occurs (it does not matter if stimulation happens because of the rough fabric of linen, or from women’s hands). In this case, the brain is not involved.
In the second case, the brain is involved and an erection is the result of viewing images (video) of certain content or having erotic fantasies. When a sensual woman appears in a dream, it is indirect evidence that there is a sufficient level of testosterone in the blood. Blood fills the vessels of the penis, but its head is not transformed. The basis of an adequate erection is a response to erotic stimulation. The head, in this case, increases as the erectile tissues are filled with blood.
A spontaneous erection does not need any erotic stimuli such as when the bladder is full.
